An engineer eliminates the single biggest friction point: the host splitting attention between content and tech. They set levels, monitor for clipping, manage multitrack recording and backups, and troubleshoot issues in real time. Without one, you are doing all of this while trying to host a conversation. At VMS, the engineer and up to 4 cameras are included at €80/hr.
