Voice Recording Studio for Podcasters

Voice Recording Studio for Podcasters

Overview

A purpose-built voice recording environment with premium microphones and acoustic treatment for podcasters who demand broadcast-quality vocal audio.

Your voice is the most important instrument in your podcast. Our voice recording studio is purpose-built to capture every nuance — the warmth of your tone, the clarity of your consonants, and the natural dynamics of your speech — without room colouration, background noise, or harsh reflections.

We use a selection of premium broadcast microphones including the Shure SM7B (the industry-standard dynamic mic for spoken word), condenser options for brighter, more detailed captures, and large-diaphragm mics for that rich, radio-presenter sound. Every microphone is paired with a high-quality pop filter and shock mount to eliminate plosives and mechanical noise.

The room itself is treated with broadband absorption panels, corner bass traps, and ceiling clouds — designed not to sound "dead" but to sound neutral and controlled. What you hear in your headphones is what the microphone hears: clean, dry, and ready for post-production.

Every session includes an on-site engineer who sets your gain staging, monitors levels in real time, and ensures consistent audio across the entire recording. You focus on your performance. We handle the signal chain.

What you get

Inside the session.

  • Shure SM7B Microphones

The broadcast industry standard — warm, forgiving, and excellent at rejecting room noise. Paired with Cloudlifters for clean gain.

  • Condenser Mic Options

For podcasters who prefer a brighter, more detailed vocal capture, we offer large-diaphragm condenser options with premium preamps.

  • Full Acoustic Treatment

Broadband absorption, corner bass traps, and ceiling clouds create a neutral, controlled recording environment — not dead, just clean.

  • Pop Filters & Shock Mounts

Every mic is fitted with a professional pop filter to eliminate plosives and a shock mount to isolate from mechanical vibrations.

  • RODECaster Pro II Console

Broadcast-grade audio interface with built-in processing, compressed backups, and multi-track recording to SD card and DAW simultaneously.

  • Zero-Latency Monitoring

Closed-back headphones with individual monitor mixes so every speaker hears themselves clearly without delay or bleed.

What to expect

From booking to delivery.

  1. Mic Selection & Sound Check

Arrive and test 2–3 microphones to find the one that best suits your voice. The engineer dials in gain and EQ during a quick sound check.

  2. Level Setting & Monitoring

Each speaker gets a personalised headphone mix. Levels are set for consistent loudness across all voices before recording begins.

  3. Record Your Episode

Sit down and focus on your content. The engineer monitors levels throughout, adjusting in real time if anyone drifts or peaks.

  4. File Review & Delivery

After the session, your multitrack WAV files are reviewed for any issues and delivered digitally within 24 hours.

Questions, answered

Frequently asked questions.

It depends on your voice and recording style. The Shure SM7B (dynamic) is warm, forgiving, and excellent at rejecting room noise — ideal for most spoken-word content. Condenser mics capture more detail and brightness but also pick up more room tone. We will let you test both during your sound check so you can hear the difference.

No. Every microphone in our studio is already fitted with a professional pop filter and shock mount. Just bring yourself.

Home recordings suffer from three problems: room reflections (echo), background noise (fridges, traffic, AC), and inconsistent mic technique. Our room is acoustically treated to eliminate reflections, sound-isolated from outside noise, and the engineer ensures consistent mic distance and levels throughout. The difference is immediately audible.

Yes. If you have a mic you are comfortable with, bring it along. We can patch it into our interface and match the gain staging to your preference.

We deliver 48kHz/24-bit WAV files — the standard for professional podcast production. Multitrack files are separated by speaker so your editor has full control. MP3 exports are available on request.
